NHAI Paves Way to 4 Guinness World Records

State-owned NHAI has officially set four Guinness World Records concerning the under-implementation Bengaluru-Kadapa-Vijayawada Economic Corridor. These remarkable achievements underscore the rapid progress and engineering prowess demonstrated in the construction of NH-544G.
On January 6, near Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, two global records were secured: the longest continuous laying of 28.89 lane km of bituminous concrete and the highest quantity of 10,655 metric tonnes laid within 24 hours. These milestones were achieved for the first time globally on a six-lane highway project.
Further solidifying these successes, on January 11, NHAI established two more records: continuous laying of 57,500 metric tonnes of bituminous concrete and paving an impressive 156 lane km. The 343 km corridor itself is designed for safe, high-speed travel, incorporating advanced features like interchanges and a tunnel.
