A significant milestone has been reached in the National Highways project to construct a 10-mile dual carriageway along the A428.
Beams have now been installed on a newly constructed 200-meter viaduct that spans the River Great Ouse and Little Barford Road. This vital infrastructure is a key component of the upgrade designed to alleviate traffic congestion.
The entire dual carriageway, connecting the Black Cat roundabout in Bedfordshire to the Caxton Gibbet roundabout in Cambridgeshire, is anticipated to be operational for drivers by spring 2027, marking a substantial improvement for regional travel.
