28 Oct
Summary
- A new food store and drive-thru could be built in Selsey.
- The development aims to reduce resident journeys to Chichester.
- A public consultation session is scheduled for Wednesday.
A new food store and drive-thru are being considered for development in Selsey, West Sussex. Landlink, the developer, states the proposal aims to decrease the number of longer journeys residents currently undertake to access retail services elsewhere.
The proposed site is adjacent to the existing ASDA and Costa at Wave Approach. This development would extend the current retail center and include new landscaping and parking facilities. The primary goal is to offer Selsey residents more local retail options, reducing the necessity for trips to Chichester.
Landlink is hosting a drop-in session at Selsey Town Hall on Wednesday, October 29, 2026, from 15:00 to 18:30 GMT. This session will allow community members to discuss the plans. Following this, an online consultation will continue for two weeks to gather further feedback.
