Renault is relaunching the Duster in India on Republic Day with its third generation, marking a significant return to the SUV market after a hiatus since 2022. The new Duster is built on the CMF-B platform, which supports advanced electronics and updated powertrains. This platform will also be used for Nissan's upcoming Tekton SUV.
The India-specific Duster will showcase design modifications, including sleeker LED headlamps and unique front and rear bumpers compared to its global counterpart. Spy images reveal a possible 360-degree camera system and vertically oriented LED tail-lamps at the rear.
Inside, the cabin is expected to mirror the international model, featuring a layered dashboard and a driver-focused console. Key features may include a 10-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone integration, a digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, and potentially advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
Globally, the Duster offers several petrol powertrain options, including mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid variants. While Renault has not confirmed specific engines for India, industry reports suggest petrol-only options at launch, with hybrid technology under consideration and no diesel variant planned.
