The new Hyundai Verna has been launched in India, with prices starting at Rs 10.98 lakh (ex-showroom). This refreshed model boasts more than 25 enhancements across its design, technology, safety, and comfort features, aiming to strengthen its position in the competitive mid-size sedan market.
The Verna now features a striking exterior design with a black chrome grille and LED projector headlamps. Inside, the luxury is amplified with a D-cut steering wheel, leatherette upholstery, and electrically adjustable front seats, including an 8-way adjustable driver's seat with memory function. Segment-first features like a rear window sunshade and passenger seat walk-in device enhance convenience.
Technologically, the Verna leads with dual 10.25-inch integrated screens for infotainment and a digital cluster, supported by Hyundai Bluelink and over 350 voice commands. It offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, and wireless charging. Advanced driver aids include a surround view monitor and blind spot view monitor.
Safety is a major focus, with Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 ADAS providing 20 features and seven airbags, including a center airbag. The sedan also includes an integrated dashcam as a segment-first. Powertrain options include a 1.5-litre MPi petrol engine and a potent 1.5-litre Turbo GDi engine delivering 160 hp, available with manual or automatic transmissions.
