28 May
Summary
- Leland's second 7-Eleven opened on Grandiflora Drive.
- The store was formerly a BP gas station.
- Several new 7-Eleven locations are planned in Brunswick County.

Brunswick County's second 7-Eleven convenience store is now open at 1012 Grandiflora Drive in Leland. The location, situated near the Magnolia Greens community, previously operated as a BP station before rebranding and reopening as a 7-Eleven on May 14, 2026. This marks the second 7-Eleven in Leland, with another existing store on New Pointe Boulevard.
The convenience store chain has further expansion plans in Brunswick County. A new 7-Eleven is under review for U.S. 74/76 in northern Brunswick, potentially becoming the third location in that part of the county. Additionally, a pre-construction zoning permit has been issued for another 7-Eleven on Timber Oak Lane SE in Bolivia.
Beyond Leland, the Wilmington area is seeing continued interest from 7-Eleven. Anticipated new locations include one on N. U.S. 421 in New Hanover County and another near a new Publix site in Carolina Shores. Several Speedway gas stations across the Wilmington area have also been acquired by 7-Eleven.
7-Eleven is renowned for its signature Slurpee and Big Gulp drinks, alongside a wide selection of convenience items, hot foods, bakery goods, and fuel services. The stores operate 24 hours a day, offering a broad range of products for customers.
