Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has mandated that all land acquisitions and regulatory approvals for the Metro Line 8 must be completed within six months. Construction is expected to finish within three years of these approvals. Approximately 30.7 hectares of land will be acquired for the project, costing ₹388 crore.
Beyond airport connectivity, the committee approved several other crucial infrastructure developments. These include extensions of the Hindu Hruday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Highway towards Nagpur-Gondia and Bhandara-Gadchiroli. A ₹3,954 crore, 66.15-km ring road for Nashik was also sanctioned in preparation for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela.
