Montra Electric, part of the Murugappa Group, has enhanced its electric SCV offerings by introducing two new EVIATOR variants: the 32kWh and the 50kWh EVIATOR 350L+. The 32kWh variant is positioned as the 'Last Mile Champion,' providing an efficient range of up to 140 km. This model aims for accessibility while maintaining Montra Electric's signature 99% uptime.
The 50kWh EVIATOR 350L+ is designated the 'Marathon Runner,' boasting a certified range exceeding 300 km and a real-world range of over 200 km. This variant is ideal for inter-city logistics and specialized applications like refrigerated transport.
This strategic expansion moves Montra Electric away from a one-size-fits-all approach to a duty-cycle and use-case led strategy. Fleet operators can now select battery configurations that precisely match their operational requirements, whether for high-frequency urban routes or demanding inter-city logistics.
Jalaj Gupta, Managing Director of Montra Electric, highlighted the importance of intelligently fitting EVs into real-world operations, citing over 6.5 million km of fleet data from their existing EVIATOR vehicles. This data-driven approach allows Montra Electric to offer complete business solutions that improve uptime, efficiency, and return on investment, making electric mobility scalable for commercial applications.
With three battery configurations (32kWh, 40kWh, and 50kWh), the EVIATOR platform is unique in India for being designed around application-specific energy needs. The introductory prices are ₹14.58 lakh for the 32kWh variant and ₹16.86 lakh for the 50kWh variant.
