Summary
- M&M's launches new freeze-dried caramel candy
- Caramel-infused candy offers a light, crispy texture
- Inspired by TikTok's freeze-dried candy trend

In a move to cater to the growing demand for innovative candy textures, M&M's is set to launch its first-ever freeze-dried candy product. Dubbed M&M's POP'd, the new offering features the brand's classic caramel flavor in a light, crispy form.
Scheduled to hit M&M's stores on November 10, 2025, the 5.5 oz stand-up pouches of M&M's POP'd will then roll out to retailers nationwide starting January 2026. According to Martin Terwilliger, VP of Marketing at M&M's parent company Mars Wrigley North America, the new candy "takes everything you love about M&M'S and gives it a light, crispy crunch, bringing the flavors and textures together in an unexpected new way."
The inspiration for this innovative product came from the growing popularity of freeze-dried candies on TikTok. While traditional chocolate-filled M&M's don't work well in the freeze-drying process, the caramel-infused version is able to achieve the desired "puffed up" appearance, making it an irresistible and on-trend treat for candy enthusiasts.
