Cybersecurity firm Mitigata has secured $15 million in Series B funding, with Bessemer Venture Partners leading the investment round. Existing investors Nexus Venture Partners, Titan Capital, and WEH Ventures also participated.
The Bengaluru-headquartered startup intends to deploy the funds for international expansion and significant investment in AI-native technologies. Mitigata also plans to scale its Security Operations Center (SOC) to become India's largest and expand its engineering, product, sales, marketing, and customer success departments.
Founded in 2023, Mitigata positions itself as an AI-native company focused on building sovereign, indigenous AI security infrastructure for India. CEO Mohit Anand highlighted the shift towards an AI-first era in cybersecurity, emphasizing resilience as a key capability for modern enterprises and India's opportunity to lead in cyber resilience infrastructure.
The company asserts that it transforms cybersecurity from a cost center into a measurable risk management function. Mitigata currently serves over 800 organizations across diverse sectors, including BFSI, healthcare, and manufacturing. It reports a remarkable 12x year-on-year growth and has triaged over one million security incidents recently.
