MG Motor India Hikes Prices Up to 2% in 2026

JSW MG Motor India has announced a price increase of up to 2% across its vehicle portfolio, effective January 1, 2026. This adjustment reflects escalating input costs and current macroeconomic conditions, a common trend among automakers at the start of a new year. The company will soon release specific pricing details for each model and variant.

The price hike is expected to affect electric vehicles like the Windsor EV, with an estimated increase of Rs 30,000 to Rs 37,000, bringing its ex-showroom price to approximately Rs 14.27 lakh to Rs 18.76 lakh. MG's most affordable EV, the Comet, may see a price rise of Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000, with its new ex-showroom price estimated between Rs 7.64 lakh and Rs 10.19 lakh.

This announcement follows the recent launch of the updated Hector, which features exterior tweaks, interior enhancements, and a 14-inch touchscreen. Current prices for the Hector start at Rs 11.99 lakh, with the Hector Plus priced from Rs 17.29 lakh. Pricing for diesel and six-seat Hector variants will be disclosed later in 2026.
