5 Oct
Summary
- Mercedes-Benz India recorded its best nine-month sales performance.
- Third quarter saw best-ever sales, driven by festive demand.
- Electric vehicle range grew 16%, with long waitlists for models.

Mercedes-Benz India has reported its strongest nine-month sales period to date, with 15,190 vehicles sold between January and September 2026, an 8% increase over the previous year. The company's third quarter (July-September) also marked its best-ever quarterly performance in India, selling 5,422 units, a 6% rise compared to the same period in 2025.
This significant growth is attributed to a combination of factors, including new model launches, sustained demand for its long-bodied vehicles like the E-Class and GLE, and an expanded dealer network. The festive season and a "Dream Days Campaign" offering attractive financing options also contributed to a 17% sales increase from the previous quarter.
The mid-range luxury segment, led by the C-Class and long-wheelbase E-Class, accounts for approximately 60% of total sales, with the long-version E-Class remaining the top-selling luxury car in India. The top-priced range, including S-Class and Maybach models, saw a 13% year-on-year increase, with custom-built programs driving significant sales.
Notably, Mercedes-Benz's electric vehicle (EV) portfolio grew by 16% during January-September, despite supply constraints. The new electric CLA has garnered over 1,000 confirmed orders, with wait times extending to March 2027. The top version of the new electric S-Class is already sold out for the remainder of 2026.
