- New contracts are with U.S. tech providers and begin in H1 2027.

Megaport announced on June 3 that it has secured four new AI infrastructure contracts valued at A$458.9 million. This significant development is accompanied by a planned capital raise of A$827.3 million to fund the construction of an inference cloud, aimed at meeting the surging demand for AI-related facilities. These contracts, all with U.S. technology firms running AI applications, are scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027 and will require substantial investment in Nvidia GPUs, network, and storage.
The company intends to establish a globally distributed AI inference cloud, featuring an on-demand GPU pool supported by A$350 million in investment. This offering will be available to enterprise clients through flexible pricing models. This strategic move represents a considerable expansion of Megaport's AI infrastructure operations. The company anticipates a surge in demand for GPU-based computing as enterprise AI adoption increasingly shifts towards inference workloads.
Megaport, which utilizes chips from Nvidia and AMD, highlighted its extensive network of over 1,100 data centers across 31 countries. This infrastructure positions the company to provide AI compute services closer to end-users, addressing critical bottlenecks such as power, connectivity, and access to high-performance GPUs. The A$827.3 million entitlement offer involves issuing shares at A$14.30 each. Megaport has also revised its 2026 revenue forecast to A$307 million-A$315 million, reflecting strong network business momentum.
