- New Dragonberry Energizer features unique dragonfruit inclusions.
- Menu expansion includes crafted sodas and reduced sugar options.

McDonald's is expanding its beverage offerings with the introduction of its first-ever energy drink, a partnership with Red Bull set to launch nationwide on August 17. The "Red Bull Dragonberry Energizer" will feature the familiar Red Bull taste complemented by blue raspberry syrup and freeze-dried dragonfruit pieces.
Customers will also have the option to choose Red Bull Zero for a reduced sugar base. This move aligns with a growing consumer interest in diverse and customizable beverage choices, as noted by McDonald's USA Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer, Alyssa Buetikofer.
Beyond energy drinks, McDonald's is enhancing its menu with new crafted sodas, including a Vanilla Swirl option for Coca-Cola and Coke Zero Sugar, topped with cold foam. A similar Vanilla Swirl will be available for Orange Dream with Fanta. Several new reduced sugar options, such as Diet Dr Pepper and Sprite Zero Sugar, are also being added.
These additions follow recent menu updates, including a new line-up in May featuring a Mango Pineapple Refresher and a Dirty Dr Pepper with cold foam. The trend of "dirty" sodas and energy drinks is gaining popularity, especially among younger consumers seeking novel ways to consume caffeine.
