Maruti Suzuki has commenced its global export drive with the first shipment of its Victoris SUV, which will be known as 'Across' in overseas markets. More than 450 units have set sail from the Mundra and Pipavav ports, marking a significant step in the company's international strategy.
The Victoris, launched in India in September 2025 and recognized with the Indian Car of the Year 2026 award, has achieved a five-star safety rating from both Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP. It features a contemporary design, advanced technology, and comfort features, catering to young buyers and also includes diverse powertrain options.
This initiative aligns with Maruti Suzuki's "Make in India, Make for the World" vision, as highlighted by Managing Director and CEO Hisashi Takeuchi. The company's export volume has grown substantially, and it aims for the Victoris to further bolster its position as India's largest passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth consecutive year.
