The company stated that the recall is due to a suspected issue with the fuel level indicator and warning light within the speedometer assembly, which may not accurately display the fuel status. Owners of the affected vehicles will receive communication from Maruti Suzuki's authorized dealer workshops, where the vehicles will be inspected and the faulty part replaced free of cost.
This recall comes after a similar issue earlier in 2024, when Maruti Suzuki recalled about 16,000 units of the Wagon R and Baleno models due to a potential defect in the fuel pump motor that could cause engine stalling. The company's proactive approach to addressing these issues demonstrates its commitment to customer safety and satisfaction.
