This evaluation follows a productive meeting between a delegation from the German company and Karnataka's Industries Minister MB Patil, with the deputy consul general of Germany in Bengaluru also in attendance.
The delegation received a comprehensive overview of Bengaluru's robust aviation ecosystem. Key highlights included the city's international air connectivity, its deep pool of skilled talent, and its strong research and development capabilities, complemented by extensive engineering expertise. Karnataka's supportive aerospace and defence policies were also presented to encourage investment.
The state government has committed to collaborating with Invest India and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate Lufthansa Technik's investment proposal. Such an investment, if finalized, is anticipated to significantly enhance Karnataka's already prominent role as a center for aerospace and defence manufacturing and services.
