LPG Prices Surge: Domestic & Commercial Cylinders Cost More
7 Mar
Summary
- Domestic LPG and commercial cylinder prices increased significantly.
- Non-subsidised LPG for households now costs Rs 913 for a 14.2 kg cylinder.
- Rising global energy costs due to West Asia unrest are the primary cause.

Prices for domestic and commercial Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders have experienced a notable increase. The cost of domestic LPG cylinders has gone up by Rs 60, while commercial cylinders have seen a hike of Rs 114.5.
This price adjustment is largely driven by the current rise in global energy costs, exacerbated by ongoing unrest in the West Asia region. Consequently, consumers in Delhi will now pay Rs 913 for a 14.2 kg cylinder of non-subsidised LPG, affecting regular household users not benefiting from subsidies.
This represents the second instance of a price increase for these cylinders within the past eleven months, indicating a trend of rising energy expenses for households and businesses.
