1 Jun
Summary
- Commercial LPG cylinder prices increased by Rs 42 in Delhi.
- Domestic LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged for households.
- Enforcement agencies intensify raids to prevent hoarding.

In Delhi, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders has increased by Rs 42, bringing the retail price to Rs 3,113.50 as of June 1, 2026. Kolkata also experienced a price hike, with a 19 kg cylinder costing Rs 53.50 more, reaching Rs 3,255.50. Additionally, 5 kg FTL cylinders in Delhi are now Rs 11 costlier at Rs 821.50.
Crucially, these revisions do not impact the prices of domestic LPG cylinders used by households. This price adjustment occurs as the government focuses on enhancing fuel security and maintaining adequate reserves of petroleum products and cooking gas.
To combat hoarding and diversion, enforcement agencies have significantly ramped up inspections. Over the past four days, approximately 6,500 raids on LPG distribution networks led to five FIRs and two arrests. Furthermore, 900 inspections at fuel retail outlets resulted in the seizure of substantial quantities of petrol and diesel, alongside 12 FIRs and 15 arrests.
