Stockholm-based Lovable announced it surpassed $400 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) in February. This milestone underscores the company's rapid growth in the vibe coding sector, which simplifies website and app creation using natural language. The platform has attracted a diverse user base, including individuals, startups, and major enterprise clients like Klarna and HubSpot.
Lovable's success is also reflected in its substantial $6.6 billion valuation and approximately 8 million users. The company's co-founder and CEO noted that over half of Fortune 500 companies utilize Lovable to enhance creativity. Lovable has proactively developed enterprise-focused features, particularly in security, to ensure long-term business adoption beyond initial prototyping.
Despite the emergence of AI coding tools from competitors, Lovable's revenue growth has accelerated, with ARR reaching $100 million last July, $200 million in November, and $300 million in January. The company achieved its $400 million ARR with a lean team of 146 employees, resulting in a revenue-to-employee ratio of $2.77 million, far exceeding Gartner's projected 2030 unicorn benchmark.
Recent initiatives, such as the SheBuilds campaign for International Women's Day, led to a surge in platform activity, with over 500,000 projects built or updated in a single day. Lovable is expanding its global presence, hiring across multiple locations including Stockholm, Boston, London, and New York, with plans to increase its headcount.
