Longmont Park-n-Ride Returns to Normal

Effective January 4, Longmont's 8th Avenue and Coffman Street Park-n-Ride will once again directly serve several key bus routes, including the BOLT, LD1, LD3, LX2, and local routes 323, 324, 326, and 327. This change comes after the completion of the extensive Coffman Street Mobility Improvements Project, which ran from First to Ninth Avenues.

The temporary relocation of bus stops to Bross Street near Roosevelt Park, implemented in June 2024, accommodated construction along Coffman Street. This project, designed to enhance safety and access for transit, pedestrians, and cyclists, included the addition of separated bike lanes and upgraded transit stops. Construction concluded in November, significantly ahead of schedule.

Restoring full service at the Park-n-Ride is expected to simplify commutes for those transferring between local and regional routes, including travelers heading to Denver and Boulder. These local improvements align with broader efforts to enhance transit along the busy Colo. 119 corridor, with a bus rapid transit system planned for a 2027 launch.
