Londian Wason New Energy Tech, a Shenzhen-based copper foil manufacturer, debuted on the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday with a valuation of $2.01 billion. This significant event represents the largest Initial Public Offering by a Chinese company in the U.S. in more than a year. The company's shares opened at $26, exceeding their initial offering price of $22, after raising $94.3 million. Londian Wason specializes in materials like lithium battery copper foil and advanced electronic circuit foils, which are integral to the electric vehicle, 5G, consumer electronics, and energy storage sectors. The demand for electric vehicles and expanding AI infrastructure has driven increased consumption of copper foil, a key component in lithium-ion batteries and high-performance circuit boards. IPOX Research noted the company's appeal, citing its reported global leadership in the battery copper foil market with a 7.6% share. Despite its market position, a notable aspect of Londian Wason's financial structure is its client concentration, with the five largest customers accounting for approximately 64% of total revenue in 2025. Prominent clients include LG Energy Solution, Samsung SDI, Panasonic Industrial Materials, and BYD. Chairman and co-CEO Guanran Wang will exercise substantial voting power, controlling about 52% of the company's total shares.
