On November 14th, 2025, Singapore's fintech firm Liquid Group and UK-based TerraPay announced a formalized partnership to enhance interoperability between their respective payment systems. The two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) during the Singapore FinTech Festival, outlining their plans to develop a framework that enables QR payments for individuals and businesses across Africa, Asia, and beyond.
The collaboration reflects a shared vision of building an open, inclusive, and scalable cross-border payment infrastructure. Liquid Group and TerraPay will work together to link regional and national payment networks, exploring ways to enable real-time QR code payments and settlements across various countries.
Liquid Group's RoamQR is designed as a scalable network supporting QR code payments, while TerraPay's infrastructure offers secure, compliant transaction capabilities in over 100 countries, connecting wallets, financial institutions, and acquirers globally. By combining their strengths, the companies aim to empower wallet users and merchants with seamless, standards-based QR payments, fostering financial inclusion and enabling trade between emerging and developed economies.
