Summary
- Libertario is expanding its Indian operations, planning four new cafes.
- The chain sources 70-80% of its beans locally in operating markets.
- Libertario actively promotes Indian specialty coffees globally.

Colombian specialty coffee chain Libertario, which entered India last year, is set to expand its operations by opening four more cafés in the Delhi-NCR region by the end of 2026. The company plans to extend its reach to Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru in early 2027. Founded in 2015 by a Colombian coffee-producing family, Libertario aims to foster an experience-led specialty coffee culture.
Libertario follows a localized sourcing strategy, with 70-80% of its coffee beans sourced from the markets where it operates. In India, three out of five coffee profiles are Indian-origin. The company is also actively promoting Indian specialty coffees globally, having showcased them in the UAE and Colombia with positive reception from international buyers.
Having partnered with two large Indian coffee estates in its first year, Libertario intends to broaden its network of growers. The growing consumer curiosity for specialty coffees in India, coupled with Libertario's blend of Colombian and Indian offerings, positions it uniquely in the Indian café market.
