Levi Strauss has raised its fiscal 2026 net sales forecast, projecting growth between 7.0% and 7.5%, up from its previous outlook of 5.5% to 6.5%. This optimistic outlook is fueled by sustained consumer demand for jeans and casual apparel, even as economic uncertainty affects overall spending.
The San Francisco-based company exceeded second-quarter sales estimates, with net revenue climbing 8% to $1.56 billion. This growth was bolstered by robust sales of denim, including trendy loose-fitting styles, which have resonated particularly with Gen Z shoppers. Levi's has also broadened its offerings beyond denim into dresses, skirts, and tops, alongside significant investment in its direct-to-consumer business.
Sales performance varied across regions, with the Americas market up 9% and Asia up 10%. Europe, however, experienced a slowdown, with sales increasing by only 4%. Levi's is also strategically targeting higher-income consumers, expanding the availability of its premium $300 jeans line.
In marketing, Levi's recently gained significant social media attention with a campaign tied to FIFA's temporary stadium branding removal during World Cup preparations. This initiative underscores the brand's efforts to maintain cultural relevance among younger demographics. The company is also diversifying its sourcing away from China to mitigate tariff pressures.
