Summary
- Lecta's EraCup Natural board certified as 99.25% plastic-free
- Certification verifies product's composition and sustainability
- EraCup Natural suitable for food service packaging and compostable

As of November 5th, 2025, Lecta, a Spanish producer of specialty papers, has received the prestigious flustix "Less Plastics Product" certification for its EraCup Natural board. This material, used in food service packaging, has been verified to be at least 99.25% plastic-free, the highest level awarded under the European standard.
The certification process involved extensive testing by an accredited laboratory to confirm the product's composition. EraCup Natural is a solid bleached board made from pulp obtained from responsibly managed and certified forests. It features a smooth, natural surface suitable for flexographic and offset printing, with an inner layer coated to enhance heat-sealing resistance.
In addition to its technical properties, the flustix certification places EraCup Natural among the leading options for single-use paper cups and food service packaging. The board has also been approved by DIN CERTCO for industrial and home compostability, and has received recyclability Level A under Aticelca 501/19, making it compatible with conventional paper recycling systems.
