The ongoing construction is a crucial part of a $10.9 million initiative to significantly improve traffic flow at the intersection of Woodbourne Road and Bridgetown Pike. This ambitious project, which commenced in May 2024, has already seen the construction of a new single-lane roundabout at Langhorne-Yardley Road and Bridgetown Pike, which reopened in August.
Further enhancements are planned, including the realignment of Woodbourne Road and the addition of auxiliary turn lanes, with completion expected in early 2026. The eastern leg of Woodbourne Road will also be widened to incorporate a left-turn lane onto Langhorne-Yardley Road approaching Erica Drive.
