KPMG Taps Ex-Australia Head for Global CEO Role

Big Four accounting firm KPMG has reportedly selected Gary Wingrove, its current global chief operating officer, as its next global chief executive. Wingrove previously held the position of CEO at KPMG Australia from 2013 to 2021.
Wingrove is recognized for his leadership in driving transformational changes within KPMG, including substantial investments in technology and artificial intelligence. The firm's board met in late February to consider candidates for the top position, favoring Wingrove over KPMG UK boss Jon Holt.
This leadership transition is set to occur as the term of the current CEO, Bill Thomas, concludes in September. Thomas was first elected chairman in 2017. KPMG, headquartered in London, offers audit, tax, and advisory services worldwide.
