Kentucky Bourbon Trail Adds 10 New Stops

The Kentucky Bourbon Trail has welcomed 10 new destinations, expanding its offerings to a total of 68. These additions include new distillery experiences and urban satellite tasting rooms, with new locations emerging in Louisville, Lexington, Frankfort, and Bardstown, and even extending into Western Kentucky. This expansion means that bourbon-related tourism attractions are now present in over 30 of Kentucky's 120 counties.

The Kentucky Distillers Association aims to encourage visitors to "slow down and savor" their time in the Commonwealth. Many distilleries have enhanced their offerings with accommodations and experiences designed to encourage longer stays. The KDA plans to launch an online feature allowing travelers to "Build Your Own Bourbon Trail," further personalizing the visitor experience and promoting return visits to explore the diverse offerings. The 10 newest stops on the trail include J. Mattingly 1845 Distillery in Frankfort, known for its "Craft Your own Bottle" experience; Dark Arts Whiskey House in Lexington, focusing on unique blending and rebarreling techniques; and LF Heritage Distilling in Georgetown, tied to bourbon's origin legends. Other new additions are Left Bank Distilling Co. and Chicken Cock Whiskey Circa 1856, both in Louisville, along with Green River Louisville Tasting Room on Whiskey Row. General George Stillhouse near Rough River Dam State Resort Park and Purple Toad Winery & Distillery in Paducah also join the trail.
