Kedaara Capital has acquired a majority stake in Tynor Orthotics for approximately $200 million (₹1,907 crore), strengthening its position in the healthcare and medical devices market. This strategic investment allows for an exit for investor Lighthouse Funds from the Mohali-based company.
Tynor Orthotics, established in 1993, specializes in orthopaedic supports, mobility aids, and rehabilitation products. The company operates three manufacturing units in India and maintains a vast distribution network reaching over 300,000 retail outlets and 8,000 hospitals across 60 nations.
Kedaara will collaborate with Tynor's promoters, Dr. PJ Singh and AJ Singh, alongside its management team and existing strategic partner, French orthopaedic company Thuasne. The collaboration aims to enhance Tynor's domestic and international expansion, bolster manufacturing, and build a comprehensive wellness platform.
This investment follows a 2018 funding round where Lighthouse Funds and Thuasne collectively invested ₹143 crore. Thuasne, a specialist in orthopaedics and medical compression, has been a strategic partner to Tynor since 2010.
