Summary

- Previous criminal complaints led to police raids and seizure of counterfeit goods.

JSW Steel Coated Products Limited, an Indian steel manufacturer, has successfully obtained an ex-parte ad-interim injunction from the Bombay High Court on February 5, 2026. This legal action targets multiple entities in the Lasalgaon and Manmad regions of Nashik district, Maharashtra, for the unauthorized use of JSW's registered trademarks, COLOURON+ and VISHWAS+.
The court, satisfied with JSW's evidence, appointed a Court Receiver. This official team entered the premises of the defendants on February 28 and March 1, 2026, seizing a significant volume of infringing inventory. This enforcement action complements earlier criminal complaints filed by JSW, which resulted in police raids and seizures in January 2025.
JSW Steel Coated Products vehemently condemns the misuse of its intellectual property. The company actively monitors the market for counterfeit activities and pursues legal action against infringers. This commitment ensures the protection of its brand's reputation, customer trust, and the integrity of its high-quality steel products.
