JSW Energy Soars: Profit Up 50%, Revenue Surges 23%

JSW Energy announced impressive financial results for the second quarter of FY27, with net profit soaring by 49.91% year-on-year to Rs 1,056.37 crore. This growth was accompanied by a 23% increase in consolidated revenue from operations, which reached Rs 6,368.47 crore compared to the previous year's figures. On a sequential basis, both profit and revenue demonstrated strong quarterly growth.

The company has also strategically expanded its operational capacity. JSW Energy acquired the 300 MW Maruti Thermal Plant for an enterprise value of Rs 1,410 crore. This acquisition includes long-term power purchase agreements for a significant portion of its capacity, ensuring stable revenue streams. Furthermore, JSW Energy added 813 MW of capacity in Q2 FY27, with a focus on renewable energy projects, and maintains a target of 3 GW renewable capacity additions for the fiscal year.
