JK Cement Ltd announced a net profit increase of 6.31%, reaching ₹169.3 crore for the September quarter of FY27. This positive financial performance was attributed to strong volume growth and higher profitability, despite encountering cost pressures.
Revenue from operations climbed by 23.65% to ₹3,733.42 crore during the same period. The company's grey cement sales volume surged by 21% to 5.37 million tonnes, while white cement volume increased by 13% to 0.49 million tonnes.
In a strategic expansion, JK Cement's board approved a proposal for its subsidiary, JK Maxx Paints Ltd, to establish a new water-based paint manufacturing plant. Located in Raghunadhapalem, Telangana, this plant will have an annual capacity of 75,000 kilolitres and an estimated capital expenditure of ₹130 crore.
The new Telangana facility is slated for commissioning within 12 months of construction commencement. This expansion is driven by the expectation that the existing paint facility in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, will reach full utilization by FY28.
