JetBlue Unveils New Fare Tiers
28 Jul
Summary
- JetBlue introduces four new seating types for travelers.
- Three fare options offer varying levels of flexibility and cost.
- New domestic first-class seats, BlueFirst, launch later this year.
JetBlue is introducing a new fare structure ahead of its upcoming domestic first-class launch. The airline will now offer four seating categories: Main, EvenMore, BlueFirst (the new first-class option), and Mint. Within these, passengers can select from three fare types: Base, Standard, and Flex, which dictate restrictions on seat selection and refundability.
These changes are designed to offer greater consumer choice and flexibility. According to JetBlue president Marty St. George, customers will easily find their preferred experience and fare option. The rollout begins in the coming days, with BlueFirst seats expected to launch later this year. Similar strategies are being employed by other airlines, such as Southwest and Delta, to enhance revenue and offer more accessible premium products.
