Pre-tax profits at Jamie Oliver Holdings experienced a significant decline, slumping to £1.25m in 2025 from £2.4m the previous year. This near halving of profits was largely attributed to £1.46m in exceptional costs. These costs stemmed from a business restructure that resulted in approximately 20 job losses within the media team, alongside pre-opening expenses for a new cookery school at a London department store.
Despite the profit dip, the group's overall sales remained robust, holding steady at £28.4m. This resilience was driven by a strong performance in several key areas. Owned and operated restaurants saw a 17% rise in sales to £4.3m, while the overseas franchise business grew by 6.5% to £4m. Income from cookery schools also experienced substantial growth, soaring by 48% to £1.6m.
However, income from royalties, licensing, and endorsements, a major revenue stream for the Oliver business, saw a decrease of close to £2m, falling to £15.9m. This marks the second consecutive year of decline in this segment, partly due to the conclusion of a significant deal with Tesco in 2024. In light of these financial results, the dividend paid to Jamie and Jools Oliver was £1.7m, over 40% less than the previous year.
