Jaecoo, the brand behind Britain's best-selling Chinese car, has unveiled its new flagship model, the Jaecoo 8. This highly anticipated SUV will enter the UK market starting May, with prices for the seven-seat SHS-P Luxury model beginning at £45,000. The six-seater Executive version will be priced from £47,500.
The Jaecoo 8 features an advanced 'super hybrid' system, combining a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with a 3-speed DHT automatic transmission. This powertrain delivers impressive performance, achieving 0 to 62mph in just 5.8 seconds, while maintaining low CO2 emissions of 14g/km. The vehicle offers an exceptional 700 miles of total range, with a 83-mile electric range that can be rapidly charged from 30% to 80% in only 20 minutes.
This executive SUV will be available in both six- and seven-seat configurations, catering to diverse family needs. The Executive model includes premium features such as four heated, ventilated, and massaging chairs, along with a 'Boss Button' for enhanced passenger comfort. With a substantial boot capacity of 2,021 liters, the Jaecoo 8 provides ample space. This launch follows the success of the Jaecoo 7, which remains the third best-selling new motor of 2026 so far, contributing to Jaecoo's remarkable 13,000% year-on-year growth in 2025.
