Britain's popular Jaecoo 7, often called the 'Temu Range Rover' online, is facing a recall affecting thousands of vehicles. The issue involves a wiring harness clip that may not be correctly connected, potentially causing engine warning lights and vehicle stalling. This recall exclusively concerns the 1.6-litre TGi petrol models, with an estimated 7,500 Jaecoo 7s manufactured in the UK between April and December 2025 subject to the notice.
The recall is not a 'stop-drive' order, allowing owners to continue using their vehicles while awaiting dealership repairs. Jaecoo confirmed that the production process globally has been updated to resolve this issue, ensuring new models will not be affected. The company stated that affected owners will be notified for free inspections and repairs through relevant channels and CRM systems. The Jaecoo 7, priced from £30,115, has become a top seller in the UK, with over 30,100 units sold to private buyers since its debut in January 2025. It ranks as the third best-selling new car of 2026 so far, with 5,505 registered in January and February. Its plug-in hybrid variants, particularly the 7 SHS 'Super Hybrid', are the best-selling, accounting for seven in ten sales and remaining unaffected by this recall.
