In a significant development, IRB Infrastructure Trust has won a Rs 9,270 crore NHAI TOT (Toll Operate and Transfer) project in Uttar Pradesh. The project covers a total of 366 km, including the Lucknow-Ayodhya-Gorakhpur corridor on NH-27 and a part of the Lucknow-Varanasi corridor on NH-731.
The award is a pivotal accomplishment for IRB, as the project is located in a crucial religious tourism corridor. With this deal, IRB Infrastructure Trust's TOT market share has now reached an impressive 42%, further strengthening the company's position as the largest private toll road operator in India.
IRB Infrastructure Developers, the manager for the project, stated that the TOT 17 project is a strategic addition to the company's national highway portfolio, which now stands at over Rs 80,000 crore across 12 states. The 20-year revenue-linked concession period will provide a stable and predictable cash flow for the trust, solidifying its position in the infrastructure investment landscape.
