3 Sep
Summary
- Rollerbowl, a 36-year-old Inverness bowling alley, closed last October.
- Plans are underway to convert the former 24-lane bowling alley.
- A self-storage facility is proposed for the 25-staff site.

Rollerbowl, a fixture in Inverness for 36 years, shut its doors last October, leaving approximately 25 staff without employment. The popular venue boasted 24 bowling lanes, alongside an arcade, pool hall, diner, and bar.
Plans have now been submitted by local businessman Ewan Calder to repurpose the former bowling alley. With the support of a £2 million investment, the building is proposed to be converted into a self-storage facility.
A self-storage facility provides secure, individual rental spaces for both individuals and businesses requiring additional room for their belongings or inventory.
