Space Firm Projects $1B Revenue Amidst Shutdown Woes
20 Mar
Summary
- Full-year revenue for 2026 is projected between $900 million and $1 billion.
- Government shutdown in late 2025 negatively impacted 2025 revenue.
- Company acquired satellite maker Lanteris Space for $800 million in January.

Intuitive Machines anticipates a strong financial year in 2026, forecasting revenues to range from $900 million to $1 billion. This projection significantly exceeds analyst expectations. The company experienced a revenue shortfall in the final quarter of 2025, reporting approximately $45 million against an expected $53.6 million. This performance was attributed to program timing and government budget delays, including a shutdown that occurred in late 2025.
Despite the recent revenue challenges, Intuitive Machines announced its longer-term initiatives are progressing as planned. In January 2026, the company completed a significant acquisition, purchasing satellite manufacturer Lanteris Space for $800 million. This strategic move aims to enhance its position for securing Golden Dome funding. The company is also preparing for its IM-3 mission, a NASA-funded lunar lander scheduled to launch later this year on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket to investigate lunar magnetic fields.
