Info Edge, the parent company of Naukri, has made substantial investments in artificial intelligence and deeptech, allocating Rs 1,003 crore to 54 startups since 2020. As of March 31, 2026, its AI portfolio is valued at Rs 1,268 crore, marking a 2.1-times return on invested capital, while the deeptech portfolio stands at Rs 559 crore, a 1.2-times return.
Of the 28 AI companies and 30 deeptech startups funded, many have secured additional external funding rounds. Several portfolio companies, including Gnani.ai and ePlane, have also benefited from government support programs, such as the IndiaAI Mission and the RDI scheme.
This aggressive investment strategy is part of Info Edge's broader vision, shaped over 18 years. Early successes like Zomato and Policybazaar, invested in between 2007 and 2012, have yielded significant returns. Following a pause in new investments from 2012 to 2015, the company resumed activity and launched the Info Edge Venture Fund in 2019.
Currently, Info Edge and its managed funds have invested approximately Rs 4,900 crore in 135 startups, with the overall portfolio valued at around Rs 41,300 crore as of March 31, 2026. The company continues to back innovative ventures through its various investment vehicles and subsidiaries.
