IndiGo is strategically positioned to lead the commercial launch at two major upcoming Indian airports: Navi Mumbai International Airport and Noida International Airport. This initiative is part of the airline's aggressive expansion plans for 2026, aiming to enhance both domestic and international connectivity.
The airline's CEO, Pieter Elbers, highlighted IndiGo's commitment to growth, with plans to serve over 90 domestic and more than 45 international destinations. A fleet expansion, including the induction of one aircraft weekly from an order of over 900, will support new long-haul routes to Europe and Asia.
By FY30, IndiGo aims for 40 percent of its capacity to be international, targeting global airline status. This vision is supported by fleet modernization, including the Airbus A321XLR and A350-900, alongside digital advancements and strategic global partnerships.
