IndiGo has been recognized as the sixth most punctual airline in the Asia-Pacific region, achieving a 78.12% on-time arrival rate. This ranking reflects the airline's operational consistency throughout most of the year, despite facing substantial disruptions in December.
In early December 2025, IndiGo experienced unprecedented operational challenges, leading to the cancellation of over 5,000 flights. These disruptions, attributed to new pilot duty regulations, staffing issues, and winter schedules, affected more than 1.25 million passengers, causing flight cancellations and baggage delays.
The airline responded by temporarily canceling flights from Delhi and offering refunds and vouchers to affected travelers. Globally, Aeromexico was named the world's most on-time airline for the second consecutive year, highlighting diverse operational performances in the aviation sector.
