India's Textile Exports Soar 10% Despite Global Hurdles

In a remarkable display of resilience, India's textile exports to 111 countries grew by 10% year-on-year during the first half of the 2025 financial year. The country's textile, apparel, and made-ups exports reached $8,489.08 million in April-September 2025, up from $7,718.55 million in the same period the previous year.
This performance highlights the adaptability and competitiveness of the Indian textile industry amid global uncertainties. Some of the country's largest export markets, such as the UAE (14.5% growth), the UK (1.5%), Japan (19%), Germany (2.9%), Spain (9%), and France (9.2%), all recorded impressive growth rates. Other markets, including Egypt (27%), Saudi Arabia (12.5%), and Hong Kong (69%), also saw significant increases.
