This occurred even as monthly SIP contributions soared to a record Rs 32,087 crore, marking an 8% increase from the previous month.
This sustained investor participation highlights a strong preference for disciplined, systematic investing. Approximately 9.72 crore accounts contributed to these record inflows, demonstrating continued confidence in mutual funds for long-term wealth creation, despite market volatility.
The total assets managed through SIPs stood at Rs 15,10,942.99 crore in March 2026, representing about 20.5% of the overall Assets Under Management (AUM).
Mutual fund folios also saw growth, reaching 27,39,34,259 in March 2026, with over 33.63 lakh new folios added during the month. Retail investor participation in equity, hybrid, and solution-oriented schemes remained robust.
