India's Construction Accelerates with PEBs
2 Sep
Summary
- India's PEB market to reach ₹33,000-34,500 crore by FY30.
- Data center capacity to more than double by FY27.
- Two leading firms expand capacity for high-spec projects.

India's construction sector is embracing speed, with pre-engineered buildings (PEBs) becoming vital for rapid development. The PEB market, valued at ₹21,000 crore in FY25, is forecast to grow at 9.5-10.5% annually, reaching ₹33,000-34,500 crore by FY30.
This growth is fueled by escalating demand in data centers, semiconductor manufacturing, and renewable energy projects. India's data center capacity is expected to reach 2,000-2,300 MW by FY27, highlighting the need for faster construction solutions.
Key players like Interarch Building Solutions and EPACK Prefab Technologies are expanding their manufacturing capabilities to capitalize on this trend. Interarch is enhancing its heavy structural steel capacity, while EPACK is focusing on hyper-scale data center structures.
Interarch aims for ₹2,700 crore revenue by FY28, targeting 10% EBITDA margins. EPACK projects ₹1,900-1,950 crore revenue for FY27 with 10.5% EBITDA margins. Both companies are strategically positioning themselves to leverage the increasing demand for high-spec infrastructure.
