India's Palm Oil Boom: Cultivation Soars, Imports May Dip

Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Kerala remain the leading states in oil palm cultivation, contributing approximately 98% of the total domestic production. This concerted effort to boost local output is crucial as India imports a large portion of its edible oils, primarily palm oil, from countries like Indonesia and Malaysia.
