India's Milk Production Soars to 247 MT by 2025!

The expansion of dairy farming is a key economic driver, influencing 16 percent of India's gross value added (GVA) and supporting nearly half of the population. Recognizing its importance, the Union Budget has allocated ₹6,153 crore towards animal husbandry, a 16 percent increase aimed at enhancing infrastructure and resources.
This significant investment will facilitate the recruitment of 20,000 veterinarians, subsidize educational institutions and laboratories, and provide tax relief for cooperatives. These measures are designed to power the nation's vision of a developed India by 2047, ensuring continued growth and support for millions.
