Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) has launched a new BharatBenz service center operated by PPS Trucking in Leh, Ladakh. This facility marks a significant milestone as India's first commercial vehicle repair center at such a high altitude, approximately 11,550 feet above sea level. The workshop is strategically located to serve vehicles involved in crucial infrastructure projects in border regions, including those used by the Border Roads Organisation.
Previously, customers in the region faced extended downtime and higher operational costs due to the lack of accessible service support. The new Leh workshop addresses these challenges by ensuring faster repairs, readily available genuine spare parts, and expert technical assistance. It is equipped with advanced diagnostic systems and offers 24/7 roadside assistance to promptly handle on-road breakdowns.
With the capacity to service over 1,400 vehicles annually, the facility underscores DICV's commitment to customer success in demanding markets. Both DICV and PPS Trucking aim to enhance vehicle uptime and productivity for fleets operating in Ladakh's extreme weather and challenging terrain, reinforcing their dedication to customer satisfaction in this strategically vital region.
