India's Top 3 Hospitals Emerge Post-Merger

Aster DM Healthcare Limited announced on March 13, 2026, that its proposed Scheme of Amalgamation with Quality Care India Limited (QCIL) has received overwhelming support, with 96.68% voting approval from shareholders and a majority from minority shareholders and creditors. This pivotal approval follows earlier endorsements from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) and stock exchanges.
The merger is anticipated to conclude in the upcoming quarter, pending final regulatory and statutory National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) approvals. Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, highlighted the strategic rationale, emphasizing the creation of a scalable, future-ready healthcare platform.
Upon completion, the consolidated entity, named Aster DM Quality Care Ltd, will rank among India's top three hospital chains. It will operate 39 hospitals, offering more than 10,625 beds across 9 states and 28 cities, supported by over 36,307 employees. This expansion aims to improve access to high-quality healthcare services nationwide.
